Facilitators

The Doctors Lounge Online is co-facilitated by Dr. Romith Naug and Dr. Roslyn Schwartz.

Dr. Romith Naug is a dually board certified (US/Canada) Family Physician practicing psychotherapy with an interest in CBT. He also practices as a hospitalist in neurorehabilitation at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario. He holds an adjunct Assistant Professor position at Queen's University with the Division of Hospital Medicine, the first recognized academic division in Canada.

Romith is also a member of Medical Team Canada and participates in the World Medical Football (soccer) Championships. It has always been his passion from a young age and he never could have dreamed of combining it with medicine until he donned the red and white for the team three years ago. The event occurs yearly and he has since travelled to Leogang in Austria, Prague in the Czech Republic, and Cancun in Mexico. The next tournament is to be held in Argentina, whenever that may be given the current circumstances. Training provides the necessary kick for him to focus on work-life balance.

Dr. Roslyn Schwartz is a Family Physician who has been practicing general family medicine along with individual, family, and group psychotherapy, for more than 30 years. She attended medical school and residency at the University of Ottawa, and currently works in Kingston, Ontario. She has worked in solo and group practices, Student Health Services, and provided medical care at summer camps, psychiatric and long-term care facilities, and the Pan Am Games. She has taught Clinical and Communication Skills, and served as a mentor and group facilitator to medical students and residents. She has given workshops on creative process and personal growth, and co-wrote the Ottawa Seniors' Health and Wellness Guide.

Roslyn is also a composer, performer, and choir director, whose music has been published and performed around the world. She has released a CD of original inspirational and healing songs called "Singing Through the Night." She has performed at conferences for family physicians and medical psychotherapists, as well as at multi-faith and spiritual care gatherings.

She integrates these two aspects of her life on the belief that music and medicine flow from the same healing source.
